Project 4 (April 05):
Soi Dog Foundation Phuket
CHF 11,000
The rapidly increasing numbers of stray dogs and cats posed a
serious health threat in the area because the weakened and neglected animals can
carry and spread a range of diseases. A donation was made to the Soi Dog Foundation
which runs a number of mobile veterinary clinics to feed, look after and sterilize
these animals.
Continuation Project 4 (February 09):
CHF 1,000
The rapid increase in the number of homeless dogs and cats after the tsunami disaster represents a serious health threat to local people, given that weak and neglected animals have been passing on and spreading pathogens.
By transferring an additional CHF 1,000, the Phuket Direct Fund helped the Soi Dog Foundation to continue its work in 2008.
