Project 5: North Andaman Tsunami Relief (NATR)

The North Andaman Tsunami Relief (NATR) organization supported
the fishing villages Ban Tung Nang Dam and Bang Wan after the tsunami struck.
Three months after the catastrophe they asked for assistance because they had
lost all their fishing equipment and fish farms and had received no aid thus far.
Donated funds were used to provide reconstruction materials, to repair fish farms
and to enable the people to take up fishing once again. These crucial steps ensured
that a total of 42 families were provided with the means of making a living.
